Does opening windows reduce radon?
Yes and No. It is all about pressure and temperature differences. Depending on barometric pressures in the air and whether pressure in a home is higher or lower than the pressure levels outside at any given moment, radon can be drawn into the home. Radon levels constantly fluctuate based on pressure and temperature differences. That is why using Continuous Radon Monitors (CRM’s) which we use, are a very effective and more efficient way to test for radon levels in your home.
