What do home inspectors disregard/not look for?

A home inspection is mostly used to identify material defects or a home that may affect the livability of the property. Cosmetic issues such as minor scratches in the floor, nail pops in the drywall, or faded paint may be identified, but are generally not the purpose of an inspection.
